Nine of us left for Dartmoor this weekend. When we arrived snow was covering the hills.

Adam our team navigator led us to Black Tor, Kings Tor and another South Hessary Tor.  It was windy and cold and the rain came in under our hoods as we were trying to put up the tents. We found it difficult to sleep that night with 3 out of 4 tents getting flooded then at 3:00am singing was heard from Adam’s tent. He couldn’t sleep so he decided to cheer himself up by singing! Great no sleep that night!

Next morning it was delicious porridge and chocolate bars for breakfast. We packed up our tents and moved on at 8:00am to Trolsworthy Tor just in time for a quick lunch. Then the Dartmoor weather really set it with wind, rain, hale and a thick fog. Every one did so well not to give up. We pushed on and came to Corwood where we came off the moor where we eventually piled into the mini-bus.
